In My World, Bombs Will Not Fall: An Introduction

Today, I was texting with my friend John. He’s a really good psychologist. I told him some time ago that I was feeling burnt out. It wasn’t the first time in my life, so it didn’t feel like a huge deal. But the difference now (if I compare my present self to my past self) is that I can actually identify and deal with it.

This evening, he asked me how my burnout was going. Of course, I couldn’t just tell a psychologist I was "fine" without giving it more thought. So, instead, I ended up sharing the introduction to this website with him. And, after what felt like forever procrastinating, I think I wrote one of the most honest pieces in my life. It took time, but honestly, the journey from concept to result is never straightforward. Sometimes, it feels like destiny plays a part in making things happen.

I created this website a while ago (physically months ago, mentally years ago). I’m not great at launching personal projects, I procrastinate a lot because it feels so (in the past too) personal. Even though I know deep down the best rule in life is to follow my heart, that’s exactly what I’m doing today.

Back to my burnout. I’m a sensitive and empathetic person, so I get affected easily by what’s happening around me - and even more by global issues. And let’s be real: there’s so much negativity in the world right now. War in Ukraine, war in Gaza, economic decline, dictatorships rising, the challenges of AI and misinformation... It’s exhausting even to list them.

But despite everything, I don’t think the world is doomed. My text below explains why. I originally sent it to John via WhatsApp, but I edited it a bit to make it better suited for a wider audience:

Text shared with John:

“Tbh, I’m okay. I talked to myself and feel much better. Funny story - after deleting my Facebook account, I had to create a work account for marketing campaigns. I never used it for personal stuff, but somehow it started showing me motivational quotes xD. And honestly? They worked so well. Some even said that things would improve by February, so I’m low-key looking forward to that lol.

Here’s my personal takeaway after everything I’ve experienced: The world is big and strong, and it’s my world. I exist through myself, which makes this world mine. Sure, the world has enemies, but if I become my own enemy, then I’ve already lost. And that’s not my story or narrative.

When you stop seeing yourself as an enemy, you stop seeing others as enemies too. Most people are just fighting their own battles, bruised or deeply wounded. Nations, too, often act out of fear, destroying others and themselves in the process. History shows us this never ends well.

Now, whenever I feel hate towards someone, I try to reframe it. I remind myself they’re not my enemy - they’re just dealing with their own inner chaos. And I get to choose how I react to that.

There’s so much power in your mind and imagination. How you use it shapes your narrative. If you keep seeing enemies, your story becomes dark and hopeless. But if you approach things as lessons or opportunities to grow, you keep writing a brighter story.

The world often feels limitless, but people seem scared to take responsibility for their own narratives. Instead, they get stuck in a loop of comparing, competing, and fearing failure. We need to show a different way - to help others find their voice, protect their stories, and keep writing.

So let’s be grateful for today and for each other. Everyone deserves credit for surviving and contributing to the story. We need less competition and more connection. Our collective trauma comes from always being pitted against each other - grades, awards, sports, you name it.

It’s time to restart. And the first person you need to talk to is yourself. Sooner or later.”

That’s how I’ve been feeling. I truly believe we need a narrative shift - a shift toward protecting, caring, and uplifting each other.

So, I created this website to write my narrative alongside yours. This is Conceptual News, a place where we focus on the good in the world. Traditional news is often dark, but there’s so much light to share. I meet amazing people almost every day, and I want to share their stories with you, in the format of news.

After all, nothing is news until it’s presented as such, right?

Through this project, I want to help people believe in their power to shape the future. It’s possible—but we need to talk about it, showcase the possibilities, and create good together.

If you’ve got something good to share, text me! Let’s collaborate and spread positivity.

In a data-driven world, what trends grows. So let’s make goodness trend.

Thanks for reading. That’s my introduction, and I’m already exhausted of writing lol. Follow this page, and if you think this project is worth it, share it - it would mean the world to me.

See you tomorrow with the next text!
